Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Zeli Ismail ruled out for up to six months

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Zeli Ismail is set to miss the rest of the season with injury.

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Zeli Ismail has been ruled out for four to six months with injury.

The 20-year-old suffered damage to his cartilage during the loan spell at League One outfit Notts County and will now return to Wolves.

According to Wolves’ official website, Ismail will “be back at Compton for treatment and unlikely to play again this season.”

Ismail, though, is positive and said: “No one wants an injury like this but it is part of football. You have to be strong and positive and get through it.

“There will be times when you are feeling low and feeling down but then you have to look on the bright side and at the bigger picture.”

Ismail has been on the books of Wolves since 2004 and is rated very highly.
