Manchester United’s Ander Herrera explains why Stoke City will be tough to beat

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is aware of the danger posed by Stoke City ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League clash.

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has underlined the threat posed by Stoke City on Tuesday.

The Red Devils will host the Potters at Old Trafford in the Premier League and will be favourites to win the contest.

United will head into the match on the back of a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Hull City at home, while Stoke went down 1-0 to Liverpool at Anfield.

However, Herrera is not getting complacent ahead of the match and told United’s official website: “I have never seen Stoke losing one game like 4-0 or 5-0.

“They always fight in the games and, this season, they are playing much better and more on the ground.

“It is going to be a difficult game because Stoke have good players but we are at Old Trafford and we want to win all the games.”

On paper, United should win, but Stoke are a team who know how to grind out result and will be looking for at least a point at Old Trafford.

Mark Hughes’s side won just once in the Premier League last month, but it came against Tottenham Hotspur away from home.

The Potters will make it tough for United as they will know that even a point will hugely enhance their confidence.

United have injury concerns as well, and that will make Stoke get more hopeful of a win against England’s biggest club.

However, United are on a three-match winning run and will be expected to emerge victorious yet again.
