Manchester United made it three consecutive wins as they defeated Hull City 3-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Chris Smalling put United ahead in the 16th minute and Wayne Rooney doubled the advantage shortly before half-time.
Robin van Persie would later answer some of his critics by scoring a fine goal of his own to add some gloss to the result and ensure the Old Trafford faithful left both happy and entertained.
Louis van Gaal would later praise his side for a great performance with substitute Ander Herrera particularly good after he replaced the injured Angel Di Maria,.
After the match, a number of United players took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
Marouane Fellaini hailed a "great win" before turning his attention to the next match, while summer signing Marcos Rojo also celebrated the result after returning from a spell on the side-lines.
"A win, good performance and clean sheet," the winger wrote, which is exactly what van Gaal would have wanted.
