Adrian, Cresswell and more - West Ham players react to Newcastle victory

West Ham got their first win of November on Saturday, defeating Newcastle 1-0.

West Ham bounced back from three games without a win to record a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.

As managers Sam Allardyce and Alan Pardew faced their respective former employers, it was the Hammers who came away with the all important three points.

After two draws and a defeat in their last three games, West Ham's impressive season was threatening to stall, but they overcame the injuries to Alex Song, Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia to post a 1-0 win.

It was left back Aaron Cresswell who got the only goal of the game, latching onto a through ball to prod the ball home past Magpies goalkeeper Rob Elliot in the second half.

With just 15 minutes to play, Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko was sent off for two yellow cards in the space of 45 seconds to earn his marching orders.

With an impressive win under their belts, West Ham players took to Twitter after the game to celebrate.

Featured below are goalkeeper Adrian, left back Aaron Cresswell, midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate and winger Matt Jarvis, whilst even Diego Poyet had words of encouragement for Cresswell, despite being out on loan at Huddersfield Town.
