Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn is full of praise for the trio.
Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has been singing the praises of Mirco Antenucci.
The Italian forward was the star of the show against Derby County on Saturday, as he scored both goals in the Whites’ 2-0 victory at Elland Road in the Championship clash.
Antenucci, who joined Leeds from Ternana in the summer transfer window, opened the scoring in the 43rd minute and added the second five minutes into the second half.
The 30-year-old has been a key player for the West Yorkshire outfit so far this season, and Redfearn was overjoyed with his display against Championship leaders Derby.
Redfearn on Antenucci: “He’s got that touch & awareness around the box. The two finishes were out of the top drawer.” #lufc— Leeds United FC (@LUFC) November 29, 2014
Redfearn: “We’re trying to build a team. I was really pleased with what happened today.” Says Mowatt & Cook were “outstanding”. #lufc— Leeds United FC (@LUFC) November 29, 2014
The win on Saturday means that Leeds are now 15th in the Championship table with 23 points from 19 matches, five points above the relegation zone and eight behind sixth-placed Blackburn Rovers.
