PHOTO: Arsenal talent Matt Macey trains with first-team and set for matchday squad

Matt Macey is training with the Arsenal first-team in the absence of Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina.

This week, in the Champions League, Arsenal had to field Emiliano Martinez in goal for the first-team. Wojciech Szczesny had a hip injury while summer signing David Ospina is still a long term absentee.

So with that in mind Martinez got the nod, and impressed with a clean sheet at The Emirates against Borussia Dortmund.

That has also given some of the younger keepers to train with the first-team. Ryan Huddart was on the bench for Arsenal on Wednesday.

Considering Szczesny is set to be out of action once again this weekend and Ospina is definitely absent Huddart will be hoping for a place on the bench once again.

However, it looks like the nod will actually go to Matt Macey.

Arsenal agreed a deal with teenage English goalkeeper Matt Macey last year, snapping him up from Bristol Rovers on a three-year deal.

Macey stands at a towering 6ft 6ins tall and has trained with the first-team before but is yet to make it to the bench for the Arsenal first-team.

He was in training today, hoping to hopefully make his way onto the Arsenal bench for the weekend.
