Microsoft to present Windows 10 details at consumer event in January

Microsoft are also said to discuss their plans for phones, tablets and Xbox One at the January event.

According to The Verge, Microsoft are due to detail the new Windows 10 consumer features at an event in January.

Microsoft are at the Consumer Electronics Show in January, however sources have told The Verge that the company are to hold a separate press event later in the month, to reveal a consumer preview of the new operating system.

Windows 10 was first unveiled by Microsoft during a small 1-hour-long event in San Francisco back in September. However, The Verge have been advised that the consumer unveiling they have planned for the end of January will be much bigger, as they have many features to discuss.

Microsoft also plans to talk about the new 'Continuum' touch interface, as well as its plans for Windows phones, tablets, and the dashboard on Xbox One. Details of the consumer event are said to be arriving before the end of the year.
