The New Orleans Saints moved into first place in the NFC South with a comfortable 28-10 win against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.

Both side's made mistakes on offense but the Saints ran through the Panthers in the end to record their first road win since last November.

Drew Brees threw for 297 yards and one touchdown, while rushing for one himself, but the majority of work was done by running-back Mark Ingram.

Ingram carried the ball 30 times for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns to become the first saint to carry the ball 30 times in a single game for ten years.

The Panthers (3-5-1) are struggling and have now won just one of their last seven games after starting the season with back-to-back wins.

New Orleans (4-4) are grinding out wins and moved into the lead in the NFC South with their third win in four games.
