Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for the League Cup fourth-round tie against Brighton & Hove Albion at White Hart Lane on Wednesday.

Tottenham Hotspur have been training today ahead of the League Cup clash against Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday.

The Premier League outfit will host the Seagulls in the fourth round of the competition at White Hart Lane.

Spurs will head into the game as favourites, but they are struggling to win matches regularly at the moment.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will head into the game on the back of a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.

Tottenham took the lead against the Magpies, but conceded twice in the second half to fall further down the league table.

In an effort to returning ways and avoid an upset against Brighton, Tottenham have been training hard on Tuesday, a picture of which is below.

Pochettino is likely to play a number of his fringe players against Brighton, but Christian Eriksen, Danny Rose and Andros Townsend all are available for selection.

While Eriksen and Rose have played an important role for Spurs so far this season and have been impressive in parts, Townsend needs to step up his game.

If England international Townsend features against Brighton, then he must make sure that he makes the most of the opportunity.
