Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao was in action for Colombia on Tuesday (local time).
The 28-year-old started the South American side’s friendly international against Canada at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.
Falcao, who joined United on a season-long loan deal from AS Monaco on transfer deadline day, headed into the match having scored twice in his last two competitive games for club and country.
The Colombia international certainly thought that he had made it three out of three when he slammed home from inside the Canada penalty box in the 17th minute, but it was ruled out.
Falcao was replaced by FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez midway through the second half with the score locked at 0-0, but his former Monaco teammate James Rodriguez found the winner in the 75th minute.
Watching the friendly international at the Red Bull Arena was Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. The 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 winner was caught on camera in attendance at the home of his club side, the New York Red Bulls.
