Mauricio Isla may return to Juventus ahead of schedule after failing to make his mark on loan at Queens Park Rangers.

Chilean international Mauricio Isla hasn’t set Loftus Road alight and Juventus may bring him back during the January transfer window.

Isla, who can either play in defence or midfield, hasn’t managed to convince Harry Redknapp that he is the man for the job during an unspectacular stay since joining on loan in the summer.

The Daily Mirror believes that Redknapp is ready to cut ties and look for someone else in January, sending Isla back to Turin.

Isla was a star for Udinese and signed for Juventus in 2012 where he linked up with friend and compatriot Arturo Vidal, but while Vidal’s stock has risen drastically, Isla’s hasn’t.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri seems to see the 26-year-old as surplus to requirements at the moment and the Old Lady will probably try and find a new loan destination for Isla.

There may well be a number of clubs that are willing to take a gamble on Isla and the player has praised the Premier League on several occasions, so he may look to stay in England.
