The new titles lined up to launch on PS4 in October, including the long-delayed Driveclub, Alien Isolation, The Evil Within and more.

With things hotting up in the world of gaming we’ve plenty of new games coming to PS4 in October to show you, so without further ado…

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor – Oct 3rd UK

Already out in North America, Shadow of Mordor launches in Europe in October. A Tolkien-inspired action RPG with a clever AI system, Shadow of Mordor may have you talking to NPCs as much as fighting them.

Skylanders Trap Team – Oct 5th North America, Oct 10th UK

The popular Skylanders series continues, this time bringing the Traptanium Portal so you can capture enemies you encounter in-game to join your cause.

Alien: Isolation – Oct 7th

Alien Isolation styles itself on the original Ridley Scott  film, Alien and has you on the run from an xenomorph hunter in some survival horror action which looks good and tense.

Driveclub – Oct 7th North America, Oct 10th UK

Evolution’s long delayed PS4 exclusive racer finally arrives in October. Also coming is a free cut-down version for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

NBA 2K15 – Oct 7th North America, Oct 10th UK

2K Sports’ basketball sim competitor for EA’s NBA Live 15 (also out in October). NBA 2K15 comes with a new MyLEAGUE mode and a soundtrack put together by Pharrell Williams.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition – Oct 10th UK, Oct 14th North America

Square Enix are bringing Sleeping Dogs to the new generation in remastered form. Follow Wei Shen, an undercover Chinese-American police officer on a mission to infiltrate the Sun On Yee Triad organisation.

Raven’s Cry – Oct 14th

Raven’s Cry is a dark pirate-themed third person action adventure with RPG elements that blends together fictional events and characters with historical ones from the 17th century Caribbean. Join Christopher Raven as he pursues a pirate known as Neville Scranton.

The Evil Within – Oct 14th

Shinji Mikami’s new survival horror brings new heights of the twisted and grotesque, looking like something in between H P Lovecraft and Hellraiser. The story centres around detective Sebastian Castellanos as he awakens in a deranged world after witnessing the slaughter of his fellow officers.

MXGP – The Official Motocross Videogame – Oct 17th

Milestone’s motorcross sim makes the journey to PS4, with new tracks and a number of improvements to bring you closer to the real world motorcross experience. 

Just Dance 2015 – Oct 21st North America, Oct 24th UK

Ubisoft’s dancing game series continues with 40 new tracks and a new Community Remix mode where you can dance along with other players on screen.

SingStar Ultimate Party – Oct 24th

SingStar joins PS4 and will be available on disc or digitally. Songs you’ve already purchased with older versions of Singstar can be downloaded for free on PS4, as they become available. A new Singstar app is also coming which will allow you to use your smartphone as a mic.

Samurai Warriors 4 – Oct 21st North America, Oct 24th UK

Epic large-scale hack and slash action from Tecmo Koei, this game was made to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Samurai Warriors series.

The Legend of Korra – Oct 21st

A downloadable third person beat ‘em up game from Platinum Games based on the animated TV series of the same name

Shadow Warrior – Oct 24th

Join ninja mercenary Lo Wang in a new gen remake of the classic 1990s first person shooter. Expect over-the-top goriness and tongue in cheek one-liners.

Lords of the Fallen – Oct 28th North America, Oct 31st UK

Another action RPG title for PS4, this time following convicted criminal Harkyn as his services are called upon to stop an army of long-defeated gods that attack his world.

NBA Live 15 – Oct 28th North America, Oct 31st UK

NBA Live 15 makes a number of noticeable graphical improvements on NBA Live 14, and puts up some stiff competition for 2K’s basketball sim offering. Which will be the better received is now up to the fans.
