Disney’s Frozen hit is better at keeping children happy on long car journeys than an iPad, according to a new poll. What songs keep your family entertained on the road?
“Let it go, let it go ...” Any parent of young children will know what comes next. Disney’s Frozen has a grip on the imaginations of its young audience, many of whom know the lyrics to its most famous song – and in some cases the entire script – by heart.
No surprise then that a new poll has found it’s the top choice for family sing-alongs on car journeys. In a poll of 1,000 people, 35% said the song is their, and their children’s, favourite. A similar number rated Pharrell Williams’ Happy, while 8.2% cited the Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book, 7.8% The Lion King’s Hakuna Matata, and 6.5% Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid.
The study, carried out by Alamo Rent A Car, also found that more parents (80%) use music to keep children happy than iPads (19%).
What do your kids sing along to in the car? Is Let It Go on loop or do you distract them with other family favourites?
