Chelsea’s summer signing Filipe Luis held a Q&A session on Twitter on Thursday afternoon, fielding questions from Blues fans eager to learn more about their new addition.
The Brazilian arrived from Atletico Madrid for a reported £15.8million in July, but as yet he has had to make do with Premier League cameos with Cesar Azpilicueta continuing where he left off last season.
That said, the 29-year-old did start for Chelsea in their Champions League match against FC Schalke on Wednesday evening, suggesting the defender’s experience in reaching last year’s final could be utilised by his new club.
Among the many things Luis was asked during the question-and-answer session was: Who are the three fastest Chelsea players? While the recent signing also revealed who his left-back idol is.
In regards to the first question, Luis said that Willian was the quickest player on the Blues’ books followed by Eden Hazard and then Andre Schurrle.
And when it comes to the left-back he most looks up to, Luis said, “Roberto Carlos; one of the best of all time. (It was) really nice to see him play when in the national team.”
Having been picked to start against Schalke it will be interesting to see who Mourinho opts for this weekend against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
