A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho has sent out a warning to Chelsea’s rivals over the club’s strike force.
Mourinho has suggested that the Blues have all angles covered in terms of the strikers they have available this season.
“Now we have a guy like Didier who is a box expert - Remy is very fast, he attacks spaces - Diego is a player that we were chasing for about a year, waiting to get him, and we think he's a player very adapted to the style of play we want,” said the boss.
Chelsea striker Diego Costa is hopeful that his goalscoring run of form will continue.
The Spanish international has bagged seven goals in his first four Premier League games at the club.
“It is different for every striker who comes here. Every striker has their way of playing and their strengths and a different team behind them - I try to play in the best manner, and hopefully things will continue like this,” he said.
Former Liverpool, Spurs and England midfielder Jamie Redknapp has described Costa as the complete player.
Redknapp suggests that a long search to find an alternative to Didier Drogba in the Blues attack has finally paid off.
“Chelsea spent an awful lot of time and money trying to replace - What more can you say about Diego Costa? He has arrived in the Premier League and is probably thinking: 'Everyone is scared of me and I've got Cesc Fabregas to supply the bullets.'” said Redknapp.
