The latest weekend of Championship action produced plenty of exciting talking points for fans to mull over today.
There were some big wins on the cards for Middlesbrough and Leeds United while Nottingham Forest were held away at Millwall, which allowed their rivals to close the gap on them at the top of the table.
We’ve taken a look at five key areas of the stats to judge the best performers from the weekend’s action.
Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome takes the plaudits with more goals than any other player over the weekend. Unfortunately for the forward, that wasn’t enough to get Norwich all three points against his former employers, Birmingham.

Tommaso Bianchi was superb in Leeds’ win against Huddersfield. He made it difficult for the visitors to Elland Road to get any momentum at all during the game. No surprises with Fulham star Scott Parker’s numbers, but he wasn’t able to prevent a 1-0 defeat at home against Blackburn Rovers.

Norwich City star Nathan Redmond was the most effective player over the weekend in terms of his dribbling. He picked the ball up, ran at defenders and put Birmingham players onto the back foot, as he looked dangerous throughout the game.
Several goalkeepers feature with the most saves over the course of a game. Carl Ikeme gets the mention because his heroics directly helped in a 1-0 win for Wolves though every point Joe Lewis can help earn for Blackpool is going to be crucial this season.
|Position||Team||Accurate Pass||Appearances||Mins Played|
We’ve excluded the defenders from this section due to the number of simple passes they play to each other as well as the goalkeeper.
Rotherham United star Paul Green made more accurate passes then any other midfielder. He protected possession well and helped secure a point at home against Charlton. Leeds United star Bianchi appears in his second session for this week’s round-up of the stats.
