Tom Ince explains Inter snub

England Under-21 international Tom Ince has explained why he turned down Inter and signed for Hull City.

Winger Tom Ince could've followed in his father's footsteps and signed for Inter this summer, but he opted to join Hull City instead.

Ince seems set to play regular first-team football for Hull, which may have been a factor in his decision not to move to Inter.

The Italian giants have a significant number of midfield options and Ince could have been used as cover.

The 22-year-old has been keen to stress that he sticks with his choice to sign for Hull and he has again explained the process that led to his rejection of Inter.

"I visited San Siro and I remembered when my dad played for Inter," Ince told the Hull Daily Mail.

"However, when I spoke to the directors I understood that it wasn't the right time to join Inter."

Paul Ince joined Inter from Manchester United in 1995 and stayed there until 1997, making 54 appearances. His son Tom would have only been a young child when his family moved to Milan.
