EU only First Print Edition also available for collectors

The Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2 is to release in Europe on 24th October – in line with the previously confirmed US launch date.

Making the announcement, Nintendo also revealed a Europe-only Bayonetta 2 First Print Edition to come in “special 3D embossed leather-effect packaging,” containing “the book of angels that documents the angelic foes Bayonetta meets on her adventures,”

This gives EU gamers three retail editions to choose from alongside the standard and Special Editions, the latter of the two will come with discs of both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2.

Both games will also come as digital downloads with a discount available on the second game for those that buy both.

In their recent Nintendo Direct presentation, the company also let on that Link, Princess Peach and Samus costumes included in the Wii U port of Bayonetta will be available again for the hair-flinging witch to wear, as well as a new costume based on Fox McCloud of Star Fox fame.

Nintendo also revaled a new playable character called Robin to be available in Bayonetta 2’s Tag Climax mode.
