2K’s massively popular adventures in Rapture can now be enjoyed on Apple devices
A version of Bioshock for iOS is now available to download from iTunes. Originally released for Xbox 360 and PC in 2007, the game joins Apple devices after launching on PS3 in 2008 and on Mac in 2009.
According to an initial press release “the same robust Physics and Animation technologies ingrained in the original” are present in the game, with 2K saying since you can expect "the complete experience of the original" with the iOS version.
Bioshock for iOS features full iPhone game controller support and optimised touch controls.
According to 2K, "the game also features a new leaderboard system, an in-app digital artbook (based on the original Special Edition), and a new player profile function that allows players to see how they stack up against their friends with a number of personal in-game stats that track how many weapons and plasmids are used, the number of enemies killed, and more,"
