VIDEO: Thierry Henry nominated for Ice Bucket Challenge by Bergkamp and Muamba

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry better get ready to be even cooler than usual.

By now you probably know all about the Ice Bucket Challenge. The challenge sees somebody pouring an entire bucket of ice water over their heads with forfeits for those who fail to meet a challenge set by the previous participant, all the while those involved are also asked to submit donations to the ALS association.

The moments discomfort is to help raise money for the ALS Association, which helps encourage scientific research into the incurable neurodegenerative disease Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease after the legendary baseball player who suffered with the disease.

Today has seen somebody from the footballing fraternity who knows a little something about serious health issues giving it a go. Former Bolton Wanderers midfielder and all round good guy Fabrice Muamba posted his attempt on Instagram this morning. And it is hilariously funny. His reaction has to be one of the least manliest so far. However, for obvious reasons, it is very difficult to doubt the guts on this retired pro.

The former Arsenal youngster also nominated an Arsenal legend to do it next - Thierry Henry the man who has been set the gauntlet along with Andy Cole, James Vaughan and former Arsenal star Johan Djourou.

So look out for Thierry Henry joining the likes of Robin van Persie, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robin van Persie giving the challenge a go. We imagine Henry will still play it cool, no pun intended.

Henry has also been nominated by his former Arsenal team-mate Dennis Bergkamp. The Dutchman, who vowed revenge on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen for nominating him in the first place, also told Henry to drop ice on his head.
