Report: Juventus priced out of Jovetic, look to Hernandez instead

Juventus are reportedly moving towards Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez because they can't afford Stevan Jovetic.

Juventus have been forced to make an unscheduled return to the transfer market and Javier Hernandez could be the man they target.

The Italian giants put their energies into a move for Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata but their £15.8 million signing immediately picked up a knee injury.

Juve are now said to be tracking more strikers with Manchester City's Stevan Jovetic their ideal man, but the ex-Fiorentina striker seems to be out of their price range, even if the Premier League champions agree to sell him.

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport claims that Juventus are only willing to pay around £15 million for Jovetic while City would want at least £22 million.

There have been suggestions that a loan deal could be possible, but Man City don't seem to see that as an option.

With Paris Saint Germain's Ezequiel Lavezzi also valued at over £20 million, Juventus could move for a cheaper striker in the form of Hernandez.

The Mexican's future at Old Trafford is in doubt and Tuttosport believes that a deal could be agreed, although several other sides are interested in Chicharito, including Inter.
