Chelsea transfer news: Wolfsburg consider Torres, Mourinho's Courtois hint

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Chelsea.

Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have reportedly been in contact with the Blues over a move for Fernando Torres.

The Spaniard is thought to be one of the forwards the Bundesliga giants have been eyeing up over the course of the summer.

However, Torres is thought to be keen on a Chelsea stay as he looks to fight for his place in the side next season.

Wolfsburg have been given hope over a move after Atletico Madrid’s president ruled out a return to Spain for Torres.

The striker has been periodically linked with going back to Atleti since he originally moved to Liverpool.

“Many names have been mentioned, but none of those players, neither Cazorla, Callejon, Torres nor Chicharito (Hernandez) are on our agenda. If we sign another player, it won't be any of them,” Enrique Cerezo told Radio Marca.

Jose Mourinho has cast doubt over the future of experienced goalkeeper Petr Cech.

The Czech will be seriously challenged in the up coming season by young Belgian Thibaut Courtois.

“Petr is ready to fight for his position but Thibaut is the best young goalkeeper in the world, no doubts about that,” he was quoted by the Mirror.
