Heists, the much-wanted and long-promised GTA V Online content haven’t made their Spring release date, will we now have to wait until the Autumn?
With Rockstar fanfaring their latest ‘I’m Not a Hipster’ update with a bonus XP weekend today there’s a sense that the whole affair would see a whole lot more hustle and bustle if Heists had landed. Indeed with many gamers downing their GTA V Online tools in readiness to jump back in with Heists online, Rockstar will no doubt benefit from an influx of casual gamers to add to the diehard fans.
While it’s never wise, particularly with Heists, to hang on every word from a games company the latest line from Rockstar is that Heists at least are still coming,
“We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated,” Rockstar said recently
“We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can. Please know that we are focused as always on making the best possible content for you to play and we are thankful to all of you for your patience, understanding and support”
And Rockstar have been busy, not only churning out reams of Heist-free content but also with next gen ports of GTA V, themselves already causing something of a stir with a rumoured special perk for the PS4 crew. It would be a canny move on Rockstar’s part to bring something GTA fans have been waiting for out with the new versions. Not only would the arrival of Heists with the new versions stir up some buzz but casual fans who tired of waiting for them who have moved to next gen might just have a reason buy the game again, you’re going to be able to move your online data across after all.
