Relive a cinematic masterpiece touched-up for Sony’s 8th gen console
Another World, renamed Out of This World in North America originally hit Amiga and Atari ST back in 1991. The creation of Éric Chahi, Another World was much loved for it’s visual narrative and visceral gameplay. Against other platformers of the time Another World was a game that stood out for its innovative use of cinematics and cutscenes and went on to have a lasting influence on future games.
As announced on the PlayStation blog Another World will be making a return to PS4 on Wednesday June 25th with a PS4 polish to make it shine. The game will benefit from 2560x1600 pixel resolution. Backgrounds have been tweaked with higher resolution and full color which is said to give, ‘a noise-free, crisper, and more vibrant environment’. Another World on PS4 will also come with multiple soundtracks including the Sega-CD version.
Another World will take advantage of up to date PlayStation feaures including cross-buy, cross-platform trophies and cross-saves allowing you to use the game across your PlayStation devices.
