Is this Arsenal's new Puma away kit?

With the official release date just four weeks away, interest in the Gunners' new Puma shirts is peaking.

There have been plenty of sightings of an apparent leaked Arsenal home shirt online in recent days.

As Puma's first set of kit designs since taking over from Nike, it is fair to say the images are pretty highly coveted.

And now a picture of what is purportedly the new away shirt has finally appeared on Twitter.

Maintaining the traditional yellow that has long been associated with Gunners away shirts, it pairs it with a darker blue than was used on this season's shirt, while also adding in red stripes down the side of the chest and at the sleeve. The Fly Emirates logo will also be written in red, while a snappy V neck design harks back to some of the Sega kits at the end of the 90s.

But with Arsenal's FA Cup win over Hull ending that barren spell, alongside Wenger's new deal, now is a time of great optimism with regards to what the Gunners can push on to achieve.

One ex player has cast a word of warning though, stating he believes Wenger has to change his transfer policy if Arsenal are to avoid getting left behind by Premier League rivals, with the Londoners seeking to improve on their 4th position finish this year.

Former fullback Nigel Winterburn knows more than most what it takes to establish a title winning side, playing his part in three league titles and five cup victories in his 13 years at the club.

Though it is difficult to accept these pics as certainties as to what the kits will look like, the fact the official release date is only a month away (July 1st), and all 'leaks' are showing the same design tends to lend weight to what we're seeing.
