Chelsea morning news: PSG close in on David Luiz? Ba rules out exit

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

The Daily Mail has reported that Chelsea central defender David Luiz is set for a move to Ligue One.

Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be interested and willing to pay a huge fee for the Brazilian.

Barcelona have also been linked with him since the close of the season, with Luis Enrique thought to be keen.

Chelsea striker Demba Ba has revealed that he won’t be leaving the club this summer.

Speculation has been intense over Ba’s future but Jose Mourinho has seemingly handed the forward an olive branch.

“Jose Mourinho has asked me to stay at Chelsea next season. He assured me that my situation would change,” he told the Daily Star.

Chelsea star Andre Schurrle has said his side need to be completely ruthless next season.

The Blues ended last season without a trophy, finishing behind Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League and knocked out of the Champions League by Atletico.

“We didn't play well against the teams lower in the table. That's where we lost it. We need to be ruthless in these matches, to be strong, and then they will have no chance,” he told the press.
