A rumour has emerged from Wondercon 2014 that Batman: Arkham Knight won’t hit stores until 2015.

Last month we were treated to the announcement and trailer of the final game in Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham series, along with some amazing-looking screenshots. Entitled Batman: Arkham Knight, the game will close off the popular series with access to the entirety of Gotham City, in which you’ll be able to drive around in the Batmobile for the first time.

BleedingCool reported on the DC panel at Wondercon 2014, held earlier this month in Anaheim, stating that the trailer for the game was shown. They report that the audience were told the game is no longer a 2014 project, “but a 2015 project.”

Release delays for games, especially big titles, do happen, but they’re usually a good thing from a quality perspective. If Akhram Knight is delayed then we’re sure it’s for a good reason.

There’s currently no official word on the truth of this statement from Rocksteady, and the game’s official website still states a 2014 release. Once we hear anything official we’ll let you know.

Batman: Arkham Knight is set to be available for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
