Are Man City ready to steal United's La Liga Evra replacement?

Manuel Pellegrini’s men have been linked with a summer swoop for Sevilla’s Alberto Moreno, who is said to be highly rated at Old Trafford.

With Patrice Evra’s Manchester United contract running down and expiring this summer, left-back is said to be an area in need of reinforcement at Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Although Luke Shaw is said to be a major target for David Moyes’ men, Sevilla’s Alberto Moreno has also been consistently linked with a move to Old Trafford.

The Spain international full-back has played a role in an excellent season for the Andalusian club, and is said to be attracting interest of Real Madrid also.

However, reports in Spain are linking Manchester City with a move for Moreno.

Seville-based newspaper Estadio Deportivo have stated that City supremo Txiki Begiristain has made contact with the La Liga club to potentially open negotiations over a summer deal.

City currently have Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov on their books and as such surely one would need to leave to make space for the inclusion of Moreno.

The Etihad Stadium outfit have an increasingly Spanish influence, with the presence of David Silva, Alvaro Negredo and Jesus Navas already in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad.
