He said: “I felt good against Arsenal, now I’ve played 90 minutes against Benfica and Southampton, my fitness is getting better and I have to keep working hard but I know I can still show more.
“I have to keep going and my strength will come with more minutes. My form will also come.”
Ahead of Sunday’s trip to Anfield, Gylfi Sigurdsson has said he has no regrets over joining Tottenham when he had the opportunity to join Liverpool, and link up with former boss Brendan Rodgers.
He’s quoted in the London Evening Standard, saying: “At the time I was really happy to come to Tottenham, and I still am. I’m really enjoying it. It’s a fantastic club and in the last couple of seasons we’ve shown the ambition to become better.”
