Report: Spurs director to fly to Italy for Guarin and Vucinic

There are reports in the Italian press that Tottenham technical director Franco Baldini is set to fly to Italy to pursue Fredy Guarin and Mirko Vucinic.

Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin and Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic have been left stranded after a part-exchange deal between the two clubs fell through.

The two men weren't selected for their respective squads for this weekend's games and are in dire need of a fresh start.

Tottenham were previously linked with both Vucinic and Guarin and now the North London outfit could pounce to take advantage of the players' awkward situations.

According to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, Tottenham director Franco Baldini is set to fly to Italy on a mission to land both Guarin and Vucinic.

There have been reports that Tottenham have already offered Inter around £8m for Colombian midfielder Guarin but that the Nerazzurri are looking for a higher offer.

Meanwhile Tottenham's local rivals Arsenal are said to be still interested in luring Montenegro international Vucinic.

Arsenal even had talks with Vucinic's agent Alessandro Lucci before he nearly signed for Inter and there have been rumours that they could make a renewed approach.

And Inter could still complete a paid loan move for Vucinic if they can bury the hatchet with Juventus.
