Sanabria, a long-term target for Arsene Wenger, has chosen to sign for Serie A side Roma instead of a move to the Emirates Stadium, but that hasn't stopped Wenger eyeing other Barcelona starlets - after all, he's done it before.
Cesc Fabregas certainly had the most success having made the move to North London at the age of just 16, whilst Jon Toral, Hector Bellerin, and Julio Pleguezuelo Selva are all currently on the books for the Gunners, following recent moves from Barcelona.
Fran Merida is the least successful to take the route from Catalunya to Arsenal, but new target Munir El Haddadi may have the same decision to make in the near future after it was revealed that Wenger has lined up a move for the 18 year old.
El Haddadi was playing for fourth tier side Rayo Majadahonda, where he scored a staggering 32 goals in just 29 games, prompting interest from a host of sides.
He went on trial with Atletico Madrid and attracted interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City, but Barcelona clinched his signature in 2011, beating a number of clubs to the Moroccan.
The 18 year old listed a current Barcelona star – and a Fulham midfielder – as his idols upon signing for the Catalan giants. Lionel Messi and Adel Taarabt are the players that El Haddadi looks up to, and wants to emulate.
Despite interest from Spain regarding his international status, El Haddadi is adamant that he will not turn his back on his native Morocco and will feature for the country of his birth.
“Spain U-16 officials have already contacted me to join the team. But if I get a call up from Morocco I will surely respond because it is my country of origin,” El Haddadi said.
The youngster has been compared to Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria, and shot to prominence after scoring this incredible long range lob for Barcelona's youth team, Juvenil A.
