Liverpool are reportedly edging closer to a move for Serie A side Udinese's defensive midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu.
It has been reported by Sky Sport Italia that Liverpool are on the trail of 23-year-old Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and are preparing an offer.
Badu started his career at Arsenal, that is Berekum Arsenal, in his native Ghana before moving to Udinese via a loan spell at Spanish club Recreativo de Huelva.
He played regularly for Udinese through the 2011-12 campaign after the departure of Gokhan Inler and Badu has made 59 appearances for the Zebrette in total.
Although primarily known for his pugnacious defensive qualities, Badu is also a proven threat going forward and few will forget his magnificent goal for Ghana against Guinea in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
Badu receives the ball on the edge of the area, flicks it up and launches an unstoppable rocket of a volley, which earned him a nomination for 2012's Puskas Award for goal of the year.
