VIDEO: Eto'o's clash with Suarez - should Liverpool have had a penalty?

The Cameroon international appeared to clip the South American attacker – but no spot kick was given.

Liverpool lost 2-1 at a title rival for the second time in a week, as Brendan Rodgers’ men were beaten by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

However, the visiting manager was left complaining about controversial refereeing decisions, as his side could well have had a penalty in the final minutes of the clash in west London.

With the Anfield outfit desperate to get a goal to tie things up, Luis Suarez went down under a challenge from Samuel Eto’o close to the end of the clash.

Jose Mourinho was quick to rubbish claims that the away side should have had a spot kick for the challenge but it appears that Liverpool have a case for injustice once more.

Suarez’s reputation for going to ground easily caused Mourinho to label him as a cheat, while it may well have had an influence on the referee’s decision.
