The stat that shows Aaron Lennon should play every match

The England winger got hit the back of the net against Stoke on Sunday, prolonging an enviable Tottenham record.

Tottenham recorded a dominant 3-0 win over Stoke on Sunday, which takes the north London side within three points of the top four.

Tim Sherwood’s strong start to life as Spurs manager was continued, with the new coach now picking up seven points from his first three games in charge.

Roberto Soldado struck a penalty, while Mousa Dembele’s individual effort ended the game as a contest.

Aaron Lennon added gloss with a well-taken third, and extended a fantastic record for the winger at the north London club.

The former Leeds man does not get on the scoresheet as often as he probably should, but his strike against the Potters was his 30th goal for the north London side.

However, during Lennon’s time at Tottenham, the club have never lost a game in which he has scored.

The England man has netted in 29 games for Spurs, in which the side have always won or recorded a draw.

Lennon’s all-round performance was impressive, and had Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor been more clinical the wideman would have had a couple of assists to his name also.
