He’s responded to off the field criticism in the best possible way, with big performances in a Chelsea shirt at a vital time for the club as the Blues seek to stay in touch with Arsenal and Manchester City.

Hazard is certainly a player capable of turning a game on its head in a matter of seconds and he’s much more versatile than many give him credit for, able to play a number of different roles in midfield.

Jose Mourinho is doing a great job with the young Belgian both tactically and in terms of how he handles him away from the pitch.

The Blues have a squad blessed with midfield talent at the moment and a manager who knows the right moment to whip him out of the side but also when to put him in, letting him unleash chaos over the opposition.

He’s developing in more ways than one and appears to be learning how to react and adapt in the big games when he’s challenged, as sides find ways to keep him quiet to stop him from having any influence over a match.

His ability to hit the ball with a world class technique is something which has never changed and he showcased that ability superbly yesterday when he curled the ball beyond Simon Mignolet with a superb effort.

Here’s what Chelsea fans made of his performance via social media site Twitter.
