Everton were scouting which player alongside Barcelona and Monaco this weekend?

Everton had scouts at the Roda JC v FC Twente game on Friday according to reports. Who were they watching?

This weekend saw many a scout take an interest in the events in Kerkrade - as Roda JC welcomed FC Twente to the Parkstad Limburg Stadion in a game that could see the team from Enschede go top of the league.

In the end Twente did go top of the table - after winning the game 2-1.

Roda took the lead via Guus Hupperts in the 39th minute but goals from Luc Castaignos and Quincy Promes saw Twente win the game.

And there were some very interested parties in the stadium.

According to reports scouts from Barcelona, Monaco, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 were in attendance at the game.

Everton scouts were also present - so who were they looking at.

Dusan Tadic is certainly the name doing the rounds most the time. The 25-year-old playmaker is highly rated and has six goals and seven assists in 14 games this season.

The 25-year-old played out of position in the game at central midfield, and unfortunately that affected his game - which might have put the watching scouts off the player.

Another potential option is Luc Castaignos.

The former Inter Milan star, who has been linked with West Ham in the past, bagged his eighth goal of the season in the game and at 21-years-old he is certainly a hot prospect.

Other options might include Chilean midfielder Felipe Gutierrez - who has a pass success rate of 88.5% - one of the best in Holland.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see just who, if any of these players, tickled Everton and co’s fancy last night.
