Adrian Mutu is never far from the headlines, and this one is again all of his own doing.
After being left out of the squad for Romania's World Cup play-off matches with Greece, the striker posted the photo above of national team coach Victor Piturca on his Facebook page.
The former Chelsea striker removed the image but not before it was seen by the Romanian Football Federation, who sent him a letter informing him he was banned from future matches.
Mutu, 34, plays for French side Ajaccio, and has recently been in the news due to the ongoing legal dispute regarding his premature comeback from a cocaine ban after leaving Chelsea, with Italian sides Juventus and Livorno ordered by a court order to pay the London club £20 million compensation, which they are considering appealing.
Mutu, capped 77 times by his country, last appeared for Romania back in March against Holland.
