England 0-1 Germany: Five interesting stats

Arsenal and Manchester United men feature...

Here are five interesting stats from last night's game to digest...

1) England did not register a single shot on target, the first time they have done that in a home game since a 1-0 loss to Scotland in 1999.

2) Defenders Phil Jagielka, Ashley Cole and Chris Smalling made a combined 10 interceptions between them, but fellow starter Kyle Walker did not make a single one.

3) Toni Kroos touched the ball 125 times, exactly two-and-a-half more times than Tom Cleverley (50).

4) Per Mertesacker had three efforts on goal, the same number as Wayne Rooney and Daniel Sturridge combined.

5) After coming on in the 64th minute, Jack Wilshere completed just 50 per cent of his passes.
