VIDEO: A new Baggio for Juve?

Baggio is an auspicious name for Juventus and after Roberto and Dino the Bianconeri may add Brazilian Douglas Baggio to the ranks.

Juventus are keeping an eye on a new Brazilian talent who has been labelled 'the new Lionel Messi' - Douglas Baggio of Flamengo.

Roberto Baggio is one of Juve's most famous alumni and defensive midfielder Dino Baggio wore the Old Lady's shirt between 1992 and 1994 as well as representing the Italian national team.

According to Ilsussidiario.net, Juventus have been watching another Baggio - an 18-year-old forward who has been making waves in Brazil.

Baggio first made his name in Flamengo's Under-17 side where he scored a staggering 72 goals in 53 games.

And the tricky marksman is becoming one of South America's hottest young properties having already been linked to Chelsea and Real Madrid.

While Baggio's scoring exploits would be enough to catch the eye, he has also won plaudits for his vision, pace and invention in taking on defenders.

Juventus would most likely see Baggio as an investment for the future rather than an immediate starter and may send him out on loan to another Serie A or Serie B side to gain experience.

However, with rumours that Fernando Llorente may leave the club as well as Fabio Quagliarella and Mirko Vucinic, Baggio could be given an opportunity to impress fairly soon.

Do you think Baggio can make the grade in Serie A?
