I didn't have Ancelotti's trust, says Arsenal hero Ozil

The German attacker has claimed that the Real Madrid coach forced him out of the club, but has praised Arsene Wenger following his summer move.

Mesut Ozil has hit out at Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, blaming the Italian tactician for his departure to the Premier League.

The Germany international was seen as one of Los Blancos’ key players last season under Jose Mourinho, but fell out of favour over the summer, and was sold to Arsenal on the final day of the transfer window.

The playmaker has consequently blamed the former AC Milan coach for forcing him out of Spain, but admits that Arsene Wenger has renewed his confidence.

"It is very important for me that the coach shows faith in me and believes in me," Ozil told TF1.

"I had no doubt that I would stay at Real Madrid when last season came to an end. But then something happened and I no longer had the coach's trust. At Arsenal on the other hand, I feel the exact opposite."
