Match to be played on Saturday 2nd November 2013 at 15:00. Venue: Boleyn Ground, London.
Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert is set to be without two key players for Saturday’s trip to West Ham.
Striker Gabby Agbonlahor and full-back Antonio Luna are both set to miss out through injury whilst defender Joe Bennett is also on the sidelines.
Agbonlahor has picked up an ankle knock and Lambert said in his Thursday press conference that the England international is a doubt. He could be replaced by Libor Kozak who could partner Christian Benteke in attack.
Luna could be out for the next two weeks after pulling a hamstring in the 2-0 defeat to Everton at Villa Park last weekend. With fellow left-back Bennett also out with a back injury, Nathan Baker could fill in at left-back.
There shouldn’t be any changes in midfield though, with Fabian Delph partnering Ashley Westwood in the middle of the park. Andreas Weimann will start on the right and Aleksandar Tonev on the opposing flank.
Villa have won three of the previous four meetings with the Hammers but lost the last time they travelled to East London, when a Kevin Nolan goal gave the then newly-promoted side the win on the opening day of the season.
Predicted Aston Villa team: Guzan, Bacuna, Vlaar, Clark, Baker, Weimann, Delph, Westwood, Tonev, Kozak, Benteke
Villa fans, how much will you miss Agbonlahor? Can you pick up a win without him? Who would you replace him with?
