Five facts about Chelsea target Burak Yilmaz

With Galatasaray chairman Unal Aysal inviting the Blues to make an offer for the Turkish striker, here are some things you may not know about him.

1) He started his career in 2002 at Antalyaspor but originally as a midfielder. After moving into a striker role, he helped the club gain promotion to the Turkish Super League in 2006 before joined Besiktas.

2) In the 2008 January transfer window, Yilmaz was transferred by Besiktas to Manisaspor in exchange for Slovakian international Filip Holosko.

3) He made his international debut in 2006, going to make another three appearances that year but didn’t make another appearance until 2010. He scored his first goal for his country against Belgium in a 1-1 draw in Brussels in 2011 and has scored 10 more since.
