Chelsea transfer news: Barca expect Luiz ultimatum and strike duo targeted

Transfer news from Stamford Bridge - including David Luiz, Romelu Lukaku, Demba Ba, Lucas Piazon and Wayne Rooney.

Barcelona reportedly expect their transfer target David Luiz to inform Chelsea that he wants to leave the club this summer.

The Catalan club recently made a reported bid for the Brazilian international - which was instantly rejected by the club, with Jose Mourinho stating:

‘’The bid? It's lost time for them. My advice to them is to go to the second player on their list because they are wasting their time. We don't want to lose our best players. No chance.’’

However, it is reported today, that Luiz could inform Chelsea officials that he wants to leave the club this Monday.

Valencia are keen on raiding Chelsea in order to replace their star striker Roberto Soldado - but not for the player you might think.

The Spanish outfit were recently linked with a move for Fernando Torres but that no longer appears to be the case. Instead the club are said to be on the verge of making an approach to take either Romelu Lukaku or Demba Ba on loan.

There are, however, very little quotes on the apparent deal and for now it remains conjecture.

Chelsea striker Lucas Piazon has joined farm club Vitesse Arnhem on a season-long loan deal. The Brazilian youngster spent six months with Malaga last campaign but made minimal impact with the Spanish outfit during his tenure.

He will hope to be a bigger part of the furniture at the Dutch club in 2013-14.

He is the latest in a long line of Chelsea players to complete loan switches to the Eredivisie outfit - and joins the likes of Patrick van Aanholt and Cristian Cuevas currently on loan with the club.

Finally, and it is reported that Arsenal are ready to re-enter the race for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

It comes as a bid for Luis Suarez grows increasingly unlikely.

However it is believed that, despite the England internationals respect for Wenger, he has his heart set on a switch to Stamford Bridge.
