Liverpool latest: Including Roberto Soldado and Pepe Reina

Brendan Rodgers says unless there is a bid near Liverpool’s top end valuation of Luis Suarez, there is nothing to consider with regards to the striker’s future. Rodgers recently said he saw Suarez as a £55 million valued striker, with Arsenal reportedly readying a bid worth £40 million.

Brendan Rodgers says there has been no progress over a loan deal for Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina. Reina is being strongly linked with a switch to Serie A side Napoli but says there is nothing to update on as the two clubs go about making the deal happen.

Valencia president Amadeo Salvo has told the clubs interested in striker Roberto Soldado to make their intentions known. His request has come following reports this morning, which suggested Liverpool were ready to pay up to £22 million to force the transfer through.

Christian Eriksen is reportedly on the verge of signing a four-year deal with Italian side AC Milan. The Danish midfielder had been a long term target for Liverpool but they were never able to do a deal for the Dane, as he closes in on a move to the San Siro.

Liverpool are thought to be one of three clubs after Bernard of Atletico Mineiro. Arsenal are the most recent team to have come into the equation with some Brazilian sources claiming the Gunners have already done a deal and other sources suggesting a medical has been arranged.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez linked up with his teammates in Melbourne ahead of their pre-season tour of Australia. There had been speculation that Suarez wouldn’t show up for the trip, looking to force a move away from the club but Brendan Rodgers has said he’s in good shape and is raring to go.

Liverpool youngster Krisztian Adorjan has completed a loan move to Eredivisie side FC Groningen. The 20-year-old has been training with the Dutch team and if his loan deal goes well, there is the option to turn it into a permanent transfer once it has expired.

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has eased any fears over his back injury. Agger had injections in his lower back before getting back into pre-season training but says he’s now feeling the full benefits of being able to train properly. Agger is set to stay at Anfield despite links with a Barcelona switch for most of the summer.

Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones says he will be ready to face Melbourne Victory. Jones could start the match following an ankle injury, which takes place at the world famous Melbourne Cricket Ground, which has a capacity of 90,000. Jones says the chance to represent Liverpool on home soil is something he thought he’d never achieve.
