'It's never me!' - When will John Terry ever blame himself?

Chelsea captain John Terry blamed the FA for forcing him out of the England set up. Should he be looking in the mirror instead?

When will John Terry ever blame himself? It would appear it’s always someone else’s fault and true to form he’s blaming the FA for making his position ‘untenable’ and therefore he’s retired from international football.

But hold on just a minute, Terry admitted in court to using the two words that I won’t lower myself to type; or so be it sarcastically. Yet he’s blaming the FA for charging him and so he’s pulled out.

Didn’t he know the FA can and often do what they like! The thing that annoys me is Anton Ferdinand has had a very rough ride from this; a bullet sent to Loftus Road shows just how sad the problem is. It has to be remembered that it wasn’t Anton who complained to the Police about it for starters and secondly he didn’t take it to Court (that was the CPS).

And yet not once has Terry even come close to saying sorry for what he said; always blaming others. That’s the John Terry way but I have a feeling this is a bit of a smoke screen.

If I may explain; remember the Suarez/Evra case where the South American was banned for eight games? That was mostly done on hearsay. In other words while Terry was cleared in a court of law the FA are not so tight as to be one hundred per cent convinced.

My theory is John Terry has been told to give up International football as the FA has him by the balls. They can’t ban him if he’s retired. This way both the player and the FA come out of this whole sorry mess with at least a bit of dignity or so they think.

In saying that his position is ‘untenable’ makes him sound even more stupid! Does he really think that he’s above all charges? The sad part about this is I think he does!

Football players are role models and they all know that; when you play for your country you go even higher up the ‘idol’ ladder. In a moment of madness that only John Terry will understand, he lost that right and the sooner he starts to realise that and stop blaming everyone else the better the football world will be.

I’ll miss him like a bowel movement and its good riddance as far as I'm concerned.
