Arsenal youngster Ryo Miyaichi has completed his loan move to Premier League side Wigan Athletic on a season long deal. After impressing in previous loan spells at Feyenoord and Bolton, the 19 year old Japanese starlet will provide cover for relegation tipped Wigan as Victor Moses seems destined for the exit at the DW Stadium, with Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea hotly tipped to sign the former Crystal Palace forward.

Alex Song has admitted there is a significant interest in him from Spanish giants Barcelona but has quelled transfer talk by insisting he is happy at Arsenal. The Telegraph details the Cameroonian’s Emirates pledging as he gains increased interest from Blaugrana’s new manager Tito Villanova, who sees him as perfect competition for Sergio Busquests in light of Seydou Keita’s move to China.

Arsenal ended preparations for the new season in terrific style with a 4-0 humbling of German side FC Koln. Despite Arsene Wenger insisting he in the past he is not interested in the French midfield international The Mirror believes they have ‘lost out’ in the battle for Rennes star Yann M’Vila to their North London rivals Spurs. Rennes sporting director has admitted there has been a concrete offer from an English club for the international with 22 caps for Les Bleus. It is believed Spurs are the team to have made the offer for the 22 year old and hope to tie up a deal later in the week.

Whilst in the same story it is believed Arsene Wenger would consider Barcelona’s impressive winger Cristian Tello as a makeweight in any potential deal to lure Alex Song from The Emirates. The Spanish speedster had a breakout season at the Nou Camp last term and Wenger is an admirer of the Under 23 international.

Goal.com picks up the story of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s withdrawal from the England friendly with Italy on Wednesday night with an ankle injury. It is a shame for the Euro 2012 debutant as he was likely to start the game in an inexperienced side but now Manchester City’s Joleon Lescott has been called up as a replacement.
