Nomura Appoints Joint Heads of Equities for Asia Pacific

Nomura has announced the appointment of John Adair and Paul Dolan as Joint Heads of Equities, Asia Pacific.

Adair was previously Nomura's Co-Head of Equity Sales, Asia Pacific and Dolan most recently held the position of Global Head of Convertible Bonds at Nomura.

'With their extensive experience in Asia, coupled with deep industry experience, we are confident they will build on the strength of the Equities platform in Asia Pacific'.

Nomura has built significant momentum in its Equities franchise across Asia Pacific, gaining market share within the region, offering superior trading and execution capabilities, top-ranked research product and best in class technology.

Adair joined Nomura in October 2008 from Lehman Brothers. Prior to this he was Head of Pan Asian Execution Services at Goldman Sachs and Head of Asian Equities Sales Trading with Warburg Dillon Read in Hong Kong.

Dolan has headed up the global convertible bonds team at Nomura since October 2003. He was previously Head of Convertible Bonds at ING and prior to this, Head of Trading at DE Shaw Securities.
