We here at Here Is The City love former Goldman Sachs CEO (and ex-US Treasury Secretary) Hank Paulson. And this latest anecdote, which appears in William Cohan's latest book 'Money and Power - How Goldman Sachs Came to Rule the World', only endears him to us more.
Apparently our Hank, when he used to work out of Chicago in the late 1990s, would often video conference in to important meetings.
But Paulson couldn't quite get the hang of the (then) relatively new technology. It would allegedly pass him by that he could actually be seen on screen, and he would often start to read the newspaper when others were speaking. Worse still, however, was the time when someone in New York had to step out on the video conference to call Paulson and remind him to stop picking his nose.
What a guy!!
