And who says insider trading trials are boring ?
A lot of people actually. And clearly that was the case for juror number 18 in the Raj Rajaratnam insider trial this week - he nodded off in court on Wednesday.
The New York Times reports that juror number 18, an alternate, started the old head-bobbing routine during a 'slow' piece of testimony, then within minutes was said to be in a 'full-on midday snooze'. He was apparently aroused from his slumbers by the giggles from a group of reporters sitting close-by.
Finally, Bloomberg reports that Bernie Madoff trustee Irving Picard thinks that Madoff wife's Ruth has $14m in a Bank of New York Mellon personal bank account, and wants to get his hands on the money. Mrs Madoff has until March 31st to respond to the lawsuit. Picard is seeking a total of $44.8m from Mrs Madoff.
