RBC Capital Markets has announced that it has hired Christophe Duval-Kieffer as a Managing Director and Global Inflation Linked Strategist.
Duval-Kieffer is based in London and will be responsible for covering all major inflation markets, across Europe and North America.
He joins RBC Capital Markets from Standard Chartered Bank where he was head of Quantitative Strategies and Developed Markets' Rates Research since 2008. Prior to that, Duval-Kieffer was at Lehman Brothers where he coordinated the global inflation research product and at Credit Suisse as an inflation linked strategist. He joins RBC with over 15 years' experience of financial and rates research across a number of financial institutions, also including Morgan Stanley and Credit Agricole Indosuez.
Commenting on the appointment, Stevyn Schutzman, Global Head of Fixed Income & Currencies Research and Strategy, RBC Capital Markets, said: 'Inflation will be a key theme in 2011, making Christophe's appointment both timely and complementary to our global rates platform. With a top tier business in the UK and US bond markets and a growing European government bonds platform, Christophe's significant experience will strengthen our fixed income research platform where we have significantly expanded our economic and rates strategy coverage over the last year'.
